In response to the mother who wanted her husband to buy her mother's day gifts. She was disheartened, infuriated....fill in the blank because when she asked her husband what he was going to get her for mothers day, he had replied, "Nothing, you're not my mother."

At first I thought, what is wrong with this woman! Why must we as a society be so materialistic? We don't need gifts for valentines, anniversaries or mothers day. Is christmas and a birthday not enough?!

Pasta primavera

Pasta primavera for todays lunch. Im trying to eat healthy, but I always add too much cheese. Quincy actually had some, soon enough maybe he can be eased into eating more vegetables because what kind of vegetarian doesnt like vegetables?!

Osita + me

Osita + Q

whats happening to me?

I saw my aura this afternoon, and tonight I decided to look it up on the internet. I didnt know what it was, or what it was called before, never really thought much of it. I would always see a translucent blue color outlining my body, and today I was shocked to see a grayish color.

This is what it said about the gray I think I saw:
Dark and muddy gray: Residue of fear is accumulating in the body, with a potential for health problems, especially if gray clusters seen in specific areas of the body.

It was a big coincidence, almost enough for me to believe in auras instead of just believing that my brain is playing tricks on me. I don't know what to think, I dont know what to believe. There have been just too many coincidences in my life.

Triclosan

"Reports have suggested that triclosan can combine with chlorine in tap water to form chloroform gas, which the United States Environmental Protection Agency classifies as a probable human carcinogen. As a result, triclosan was the target of a UK cancer alert, even though the study showed that the amount of chloroform generated was less than amounts often present in chlorinated drinking waters.

Triclosan reacts with the free chlorine in tap water to also produce lesser amounts of other compounds, like 2,4-dichlorophenol. Most of these intermediates convert into dioxins upon exposure to UV radiation (from the sun or other sources). Although small amounts of dioxins are produced, there is a great deal of concern over this effect because some dioxins are extremely toxic and are very potent endocrine disruptors. They are also chemically very stable, so that they are eliminated from the body very slowly (they can bioaccumulate to dangerous levels), and they persist in the environment for a very long time. However, dioxin is not one compound, but a family of compounds of widely ranging toxicity. The dioxin compound that formed when triclosan degraded in sunlight is not a dioxin of public health concern.

Triclosan is chemically somewhat similar to the dioxin class of compounds. Its production leads to small amounts of residual polychlorinated dioxins, and polychlorinated furans which are contained in small amounts, in the products that are using it.

A 2006 study concluded that low doses of triclosan act as an endocrine disruptor in the North American bullfrog. The hypothesis proposed is that triclosan blocks the metabolism of thyroid hormone, because it chemically mimics thyroid hormone, and binds to the hormone receptor sites, blocking them, so that normal hormones cannot be utilized. Triclosan has also been found in both the bile of fish living downstream from waste water processing plants and in human breast milk. The negative effects of Triclosan on the environment and its questionable benefits in toothpastes has led to the Swedish Naturskyddsföreningen to recommend not using triclosan in toothpaste.

Triclosan is used in many common household products including Clearasil Daily Face Wash, Dentyl mouthwash, Dawn, the Colgate Total range, Crest Cavity Protection, Softsoap, Dial, Right Guard deodorant, Sensodyne Total Care, Old Spice and Mentadent."

I stole those paragraphs above from wikipedia, no point in me summarizing it, but I can in two words, TRICLOSAN SUX! I was using Sensodyne to get rid of my teeth sensitivity that i've had for as long can remember. Not only did it not work, but it had triclosan! My aunt Mairone gave me hand creams by Avon Naturais because supposedly it's not tested on animals, and it also had triclosan listed on the ingredients list that wasnt even in portuguese. It was in english! That would be like something in portuguese being sold here, not everyone understands portuguese.

....

I played around with photoshop today, and really couldnt do anything. I don't have patience to do anything that I want, but I did manage to change the contrast & brightness of my very burnt picture.

3.93 Update

I was never going to update my psp, I thought it was completely redundant until I read that the new update would include Skype. So last wednesday I updated to version 3.93. Other new features included aol internet radio & an annoying gray pop up that displays options. Now all I need is a microphone that works on the psp. ;D
